CanFIRE

On-Device Storage Only

Every number you enter into CanFIRE — expenses, income, assets, insurance policies, and personal details — is stored exclusively on your device using encrypted local storage (AsyncStorage). There is no cloud sync, no account creation, and no backend server.

No Internet Required

CanFIRE works fully offline. The only optional network call is a once-weekly fetch of updated CPF reference figures (BRS/FRS/ERS) from a public data source. If you are offline, the app falls back to bundled figures. No personal data is involved in this request.

Data Portability

To transfer your data to another device, use the Export / Restore feature in Settings. This creates an AES-256 encrypted .canfire backup file that only you control. The file is never uploaded or shared automatically.

CanFIRE does not collect usage analytics, crash reports, advertising identifiers, or any telemetry. Your personal financial data is never transmitted to any server.

No personally identifiable financial information is ever transmitted from your device to any server, including ours.

RevenueCat (Subscription Management)

CanFIRE uses RevenueCat to manage in-app subscriptions (Pro plan). When you interact with subscription features, RevenueCat may collect: a device-level anonymous identifier, purchase transaction data (product ID, price, currency, transaction date, and app store receipt data), and platform and app version metadata.

This data is transmitted to RevenueCat's servers in the United States and is used solely for subscription validation and management. RevenueCat does not receive any of your personal financial data entered into CanFIRE.

If you do not subscribe or interact with the Pro paywall, no data is sent to RevenueCat. For details on RevenueCat's data practices, see their Privacy Policy.

If you enable reminders in Settings, CanFIRE schedules local notifications on your device. These are generated entirely on-device — no notification tokens or device identifiers are sent to any server. You can disable notifications at any time in Settings or in your device's system settings.

All projections, estimates, and insights are based solely on the information you enter. They are for your own planning reference only. You should not make any financial decision based solely on outputs from this app. For personalised advice, consult a qualified financial professional.

CPF & Government Data

Retirement sums (BRS/FRS/ERS) and CPF LIFE payout estimates are sourced from cpf.gov.sg and updated periodically. Figures are for planning purposes only and may not reflect your actual CPF balances or entitlements. Please refer to cpf.gov.sg or your CPF statement for authoritative figures.

This app references publicly available CPF Board figures solely for planning purposes. It does not access, connect to, or retrieve data from your CPF account or any CPF Board systems.

Projections & Estimates

All financial projections are mathematical estimates based on your inputs and assumed growth rates. Past performance of any asset class does not guarantee future returns. Actual outcomes will differ from projections due to market conditions, inflation, policy changes, and personal circumstances.
